As an Associate of the American Journal of Transformational Leadership, Detra Onwuchekwa’s latest research explored gender disparities on boards in the United Kingdom. The study focused on effective practices for improvement. The paper also examined the extant regulatory initiatives that have been advanced to deal with this problem, while results and discussions made substantial case for enhanced targets to drive holistic and far-reaching change. 

Detra Onwuchekwa (LLB, University of Nigeria, Nsukka; B.L, Nigerian Law School; and LLM, University of Portsmouth, England) is United Kingdom-based attorney, proficient in Business Law and Corporate Governance. Within the past lustrum, she received specialty training in Corporate Law; Corporate Governance; Corporate Secretarial Practice; and Financial Analysis and Decision making.

Currently a Graduate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) of the United Kingdom, Detra has intense passion for the development of an effective corporate compliance system in Africa and Europe. Besides coaching corporate entities in government regulations and compliance, Detra is committed to humanitarian services. She is a Volunteer for Save the Children, England and Wales, as well as the United Nations

Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
